Please Donate & Volunteer

The national charities on the left were the 53 original charities included for this memorial.

I encourage anyone still wanting to help the survivors of Katrina and Rita to contribute to a local charity in one of the effected areas. The Reason being is that there are many victims who have never received anything from the national charities because of red tape and other variables while local charities tend to get the necessary needs to the victims faster.

Here are a few charities I have worked with or making contributions to with the sales of the Katrina Shirts and DVD Video.

East Jefferson General Hospital

Bridgehouse

New Orlean's Musicians' Clinic

Samaritan's Purse

There are several great local organizations out there.

Follow your heart and continue to support the all the survivors of this great American tragedy.

God bless and One (1) Love, Gary

Hello to all my brothers and sisters and thank you for coming here and viewing my tribute-memorial in the name of the survivors/victims of Hurricane Katrina which took place on August 29, 2005. I put this tribute together only 48 hours after the hurricane hit the Gulf Coast. I know Mississippi, Alabama and Florida suffered major damages in addition to tragic lost of life. When this tribute was put together, the only images available were coming out of Louisiana and New Orleans in particular. Please excuse the lack of images from the other 3 states. This memorial is not about New Orleans or Louisiana but for anyone and everyone who has suffered in this, the worst natural disaster in American history. I ask all of you to make a donation to one of the charities listed above. There are many more good charitable organizations out there other than the 53 listed on this site. If you do not see your charity, please call them directly and make your pledge. We all are connected to this horrific event no matter what color, religion or creed we are. We are all connected to this no matter how close or far we physically live from the Gulf Coast. A $25 dollar donation would help so much and it only takes a few minutes. If you think about it, that is only a half a tank of gas for most of us.
Due to a number of requests, the original collage created to honor the victims and survivors of Hurricane Katrina has now been turned into a T-shirt and proceeds have gone directly to the survivors in helping them to rebuild their lives. I am so proud to be an American and I love my country. Together we can all make a difference in this world when love; compassion, caring and a helping hand are always put first.
For all of you who have already contributed, thank you from the bottom of my heart and please continue to do so. Although we know this has left the front pages of the news, much of the devastated areas still look as they did in the days following Katrina. There is so much that still needs to be done. So many families are still displaced and have not and more importantly may not ever return to their homes. Let us help them now! Please feel free to pass this site to any and all of your friends and thank you again for all your love and support. God bless you and let’s all help our Gulf Coast brothers and sisters in this special time of need.
